608 Write Up Part II

On Friday I'll give you yet more information. Essentially it relates to an entire chapter in the Physics textbook. Some of the different types of particles, (and their compositions), their interactions with magnetism, what 'radiation' happens to be, the sources of the particles, the math to calculate the curvatures of the paths as well as the energies (mev -- electron volts ) of the particles, the math related to the strength of the magnet (Gauss), Lorenz's law, etc. The nice thing for students is that the basic device that lead to all of this science is rather easily constructed.

By way of contrast, the subsequently identified particles require those massive mega-billion dollar super-colliders to identify. Depending upon the cost of dry ice, I'll say a 'cloud chamber' costs roughly $100.00.

Additionally, this science began when a guy who liked to hike mountains did so and began to contemplate myst; not your typical standardized-test environment for learning. A few decades later nobel prizes were being awarded for this line of inquiry.
